Anatomy & Physiology Level 7 Assessment Pack — Endocrine System
Build stronger Anatomy & Physiology skills with a complete progressive assessment pack focused on the Endocrine System, designed to move learners from foundational gland and hormone recognition into hormone signaling, hypothalamic-pituitary regulation, feedback mechanisms, metabolic control, and integrated endocrine homeostasis.
The A&P Level 7: Endocrine System Assessment Pack includes four progressively challenging assessments:
Quiz A — 10 QuestionsEstablishes foundational endocrine-system knowledge, including endocrine glands, hormones, target cells, major gland locations, the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, thyroid and parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, pancreas, and introductory negative-feedback regulation.
Quiz B — 15 QuestionsBuilds into specific hormone-gland relationships, anterior and posterior pituitary functions, growth hormone, TSH, ACTH, prolactin, ADH, oxytocin, thyroid hormones, parathyroid hormone, adrenal cortical and medullary hormones, insulin, glucagon, and melatonin.
Level Review — 25 QuestionsAdvances into hormone classes, receptor location, second-messenger signaling, humoral, neural, and hormonal stimuli, hypothalamic releasing hormones, endocrine axes, tropic hormones, glucose and calcium homeostasis, water and electrolyte regulation, and negative versus positive feedback.
Level Exam — 50 QuestionsA comprehensive Level 7 assessment integrating endocrine signaling, hormone transport and receptor mechanisms, hypothalamic-pituitary relationships, thyroid and parathyroid physiology, adrenal cortical zones, pancreatic islet function, reproductive hormones, circadian regulation, secondary endocrine organs, and multi-system endocrine homeostasis.
100 total assessment questions.
All four assessments contain distinct question items. Questions are not simply repeated from one assessment to another, allowing learners to revisit essential endocrine concepts through new questions and increasingly complex applications.
Each assessment includes a completely separate Answer Key & Rationale section so students can complete the testing portion before reviewing their answers.
Every answered item includes:

Integrated endocrine homeostasis
The endocrine system consists not only of traditional endocrine glands but also hormone-producing cells within organs that have other primary functions. Hormones regulate processes including growth, metabolism, reproduction, fluid and electrolyte balance, sleep, and other aspects of homeostasis.
Level 7 moves learners beyond memorizing which gland produces which hormone. Students are challenged to understand how endocrine signals are produced, transported, recognized, regulated, and integrated to maintain physiological stability.
The assessment also reinforces important distinctions such as endocrine versus exocrine secretion, anterior versus posterior pituitary function, thyroid versus parathyroid physiology, adrenal cortex versus adrenal medulla, insulin versus glucagon, lipid-soluble versus water-soluble hormone signaling, and positive versus negative feedback. Negative feedback is the predominant mechanism regulating hormone secretion.
Special attention is given to the hypothalamic-pituitary relationship. The anterior pituitary is regulated largely through hypothalamic hormones delivered through the hypophyseal portal system, while ADH and oxytocin are produced by hypothalamic neurons and released through the posterior pituitary.
Suitable for learners studying Anatomy & Physiology across healthcare and allied-health programs, including CNA, Medical Assisting, LPN/LVN, RN, pre-nursing, health sciences, and other healthcare education programs.
