Anatomy & Physiology Level 6 Assessment Pack — Nervous System
Build stronger Anatomy & Physiology skills with a complete progressive assessment pack focused on the Nervous System, designed to move learners from foundational nervous-system organization into neuronal structure and signaling, synaptic communication, brain and spinal-cord anatomy, peripheral nervous-system pathways, reflexes, and autonomic nervous-system function.
The A&P Level 6: Nervous System Assessment Pack includes four progressively challenging assessments:
Quiz A — 10 QuestionsEstablishes foundational nervous-system knowledge, including neurons and neuroglia, basic neuron anatomy, central versus peripheral nervous-system organization, sensory and motor pathways, and introductory autonomic nervous-system concepts.
Quiz B — 15 QuestionsBuilds into myelin and nodes of Ranvier, CNS and PNS glial cells, resting membrane potential, introductory action-potential physiology, chemical synapses, neurotransmitter release, gray and white matter, introductory brain anatomy, spinal nerves, and autonomic organization.
Level Review — 25 QuestionsExpands into repolarization, refractory periods, saltatory conduction, excitatory and inhibitory postsynaptic responses, meninges, cerebrospinal fluid, cerebral lobes, major functional cortical regions, thalamic and hypothalamic functions, brainstem anatomy, spinal-cord organization, reflex arcs, sensory and motor roots, and sympathetic versus parasympathetic responses.
Level Exam — 50 QuestionsA comprehensive Level 6 assessment integrating neuronal structure and electrical signaling, graded potentials and action potentials, synaptic integration, neuroglia, CNS/PNS terminology, cerebral anatomy, brainstem and cerebellar function, ventricular and cerebrospinal-fluid pathways, spinal-cord anatomy and tracts, spinal and cranial nerves, reflex organization, and autonomic nervous-system structure and function.
100 total assessment questions.
All four assessments contain distinct question items. Questions are not simply copied from one assessment into another, allowing learners to revisit essential nervous-system concepts through new questions and progressively stronger applications.
Each assessment includes a completely separate Answer Key & Rationale section, allowing students to complete the testing portion before reviewing their answers.
Every answered item includes:
Correct answer
Rationale
Break It Down explanation

Integrated nervous-system structure and function
Standard A&P distinguishes the CNS as the brain and spinal cord and the PNS as nervous structures beyond the CNS, while also distinguishing sensory/afferent and motor/efferent functions. Nervous tissue itself consists principally of neurons and supporting glial cells.
Level 6 moves learners beyond memorizing nervous-system structures and challenges them to understand how information moves through the nervous system. Students work with the relationships among electrical signaling, synaptic communication, sensory input, CNS integration, motor output, reflexes, and autonomic regulation.
The assessment also reinforces important structural distinctions such as ganglion versus nucleus, nerve versus tract, CNS versus PNS myelination, sensory versus motor pathways, and somatic versus autonomic output. These distinctions align with standard anatomical terminology used to describe nervous-system organization.
Suitable for learners studying Anatomy & Physiology across healthcare and allied-health programs, including CNA, Medical Assisting, LPN/LVN, RN, pre-nursing, health sciences, and other healthcare education programs.
